As a dedicated psychiatrist with a Master's in Nursing from Florida International University and medical training from Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Santiago de Cuba, my mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals seeking support for their mental health and well-being. I am committed to fostering a safe and trusting therapeutic environment where patients can openly explore their challenges, emotions, and aspirations.
In addition to my clinical practice, I actively work to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues and increase awareness of the importance of mental well-being. I engage in ongoing professional development, research, and advocacy efforts to contribute to the advancement of mental health care.
My goal is to empower individuals to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives, free from the limitations of mental health challenges. I look forward to collaborating with you on your journey toward emotional wellness and personal growth.

My approach to psychiatry is rooted in a deep understanding of the complex interplay between biological, psychological, and social factors that influence mental health. I strive to offer comprehensive assessments and personalized treatment plans that encompass not only symptom relief but also the enhancement of overall quality of life.
I believe in a collaborative approach to care, valuing the input and preferences of each patient in the decision-making process. Together, we work towards achieving therapeutic goals, whether through psychotherapy, medication management, or a combination of both. I am dedicated to offering our patients a well-rounded approach to healthcare that includes a combination of traditional, complementary, and alternative medicine. I am committed to staying current with the latest advancements in the field of psychiatry to provide the most effective and cutting-edge treatments.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
The therapeutic psychiatric care process begins with a comprehensive psychiatric that allows me to have a better understanding of the patient's mental health needs. This evaluation is a confidential, supportive conversation where patients are encouraged to share both past and present mental health information. Through this assessment, a diagnosis is established, and in collaboration with the patient, I recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
During these sessions, psychotherapy is also provided, enabling patients to explore and comprehend their emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and sources of emotional distress in a safe and empathetic environment.
In the subsequent appointments, I will assess the patient's progress, the efficacy of the treatment, and I will provide appropriate recommendations for as needed.

He reduced my med by over half, and to capsules 4 times the cost. I spent 2 months at a military post combat, trauma/TBI, inpatient program with 2 MD’s (psychiatrist & Internist), & 2 psychologists, that worked with me every day, all day. 4 Dr’s and they staffed with 12 more. My regiment was careful and calculating done to finally stabilize me. I got my mind back and could finally be still, quiet and accomplish tasks. Drive again. This med’s efficacy is different. It isn’t strong enough, and lingers unto bed time so it makes me worse each day. I’m moving & talking too fast, can’t sleep, and then I get sleepy behind the wheel. This undid a lot of people’s effort, including my own. I felt put in a box, judged by people who maybe misuse use these meds, but I have a completely reconstructed neck 2-7, & head/neck scars, 3 metal plates, screws & half of neck bones gone. This NP felt he knew better. Sad, afraid and confused. Not supposed to jump Dr to Dr. Don’t know what question to ask.
