About Dr. William Wang
William Wang is a highly trained, board certified orthopaedic surgeon and member of the South Orange County Orthopaedics team. In additional to general orthopaedics, Dr. Wang is fellowship trained in foot and ankle surgery. He specializes in treating disorders such as adult flatfoot, ankle sprains and fractures, foot injuries, Achilles tendon disorders, arthritis, and bunions. He also has extensive trauma experience treating lower extremity injuries.
Dr. Wang attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy. He received his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine, where he was awarded a full tuition scholarship. He was also awarded the Bert and Sally O’Malley Award for Best Medical Student Research. Dr. Wang completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell (formerly North Shore/LIJ). He finished his training at UCI Medical Center with a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Wang has authored several research papers in orthopedic surgery. He was also responsible for creating the Achilles tendon injury protocol utilized at Downey Medical Center. He is a member of Hope Torch, which is a public benefit trust that aids abandoned, destitute, and orphaned children around the world by delivering services in the areas of health and education.
Dr. Wang grew up in Southern California and spent most of his childhood in the city of Yorba Linda. He was a former concertmaster of the Orange County Youth Symphony Orchestra (OCYSO) and has performed in Carnegie Hall. He likes spending his free time with his three children.

He offered nothing. No explanation, just a bunch of papers for me to read and figure out. He seemed bored and uninspired. I was able to get more information online. It was a waste of time.

Following my back surgery, I required a toe injection, which was expertly administered by Dr Wang. His approach was incredibly attentive, ensuring that I was comfortable and informed throughout the procedure I am grateful for Dr Wang's exceptional care and would highly recommend his service to anyone in need of orthopedic care.

I went to see Dr. Wang for my foot problem that's been bothering me for months. He took a couple of Xrays and knew right away what the problem was. I appreciated how he took the time to discuss with me what the problem was and what my options were. Everyone was extremely nice.

I saw Dr. Wang after I had a motorcycle accident and hurt my leg. Thankfully, nothing was broken, but I've had constant pain since then. I'm not insured and Dr. Wang was willing to work with me to minimize the amount of money I had to spend. Very satisfied so far!

I've seen Dr. Wang a couple times for my ankle, which I hurt playing racquetball. He diagnosed me with a tear in a tendon. I'm trying to hold off surgery, but if it doesn't get better, I might have to get it repaired. Dr. Wang was really good at explaining the situation to me. I have complete confidence in him

I saw Dr. Wang for my broken ankle. Thankfully, it doesn't need surgery. He was extremely nice and took time to help me understand why I didn't need surgery. His bedside manner is terrific. I'd recomend him to anybody.

Dr. Wang is really great and knowledgable. I've seen him a couple of times for different things and both times he's been wonderful. I might need surgery for one of the problems, but he's not quick to jump into surgery unless it's absolutely needed. Very positive experience!
