About Wilmer Santiesteban Garcia
Wilmer Santiesteban Garcia is a Foreign Educated/Graduated Physician (FEP) from Cuba with greater than 20 years’ experience in Primary Care. In 1998, he completed his education in General Medicine in Cuba and practiced Primary Care there until 2010, when he immigrated to the USA. In 2015, Wilmer completed the BSN/MSN program for FEP at Florida International University (FIU) and obtained his Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), and the FNP license from the Florida Board of Nursing.
During these 7 years as an FNP, Wilmer has gained vast experience/knowledge as a practitioner in primary/managed care as an employee of Private Practices and HMO Clinics located in the Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach areas. He continues to provide high quality, patient-centered health care services at Comprehensive Medical & Research Center (CMRC) his own clinic, conveniently located in Plantation, Florida. His main goal is to continue to provide his clinic patients with the necessary Primary Care, by implementing a strong focus on Preventive Medicine.
We at CMRC believe that Preventive Medicine is the best option to maintain good health. Our patients are encouraged to practice healthy lifestyle, resulting in minimal doctor or hospital visits. We understand that individual patients’ needs are all different; therefore, every attempt is made to deliver quality care in a consistent and timely manner. As a clinic, Wilmer and CMRC focus on clinician/patient one-on-one care and service; patients engaged with the clinician in building their own plan of care based on their needs and goals, and educational discussions are implemented to promote everyday healthy choices and alternatives. Ultimately, we inspire patients to invest in their health and wellbeing to meet healthy goals and healthy lifestyles.

If you are looking for a Primary Care doctor I strongly recommend Wilmer Santiesteban, NP. I was his patient in the past for a long time and I can say that he is very professional and knowledgeable but must importantly very human and a great listener to his patients. His experience as a doctor from Cuba is a plus. Now he owns his own practice which I visited and is very nice and the staff super friendly. Thank you Wilmer and CMRC for being a good healthcare option now for the city of Plantation and Broward county.

Excellent service, very cozy office and environment, staff very friendly, NP Wilmer Santiesteban ( who is BTW a Cuban Dr) very professionals and always willing to help with everything, I can’t complain about anything, so glad to have them in the community, I strongly recommend this office whenever you need a health matter consultation.

Wilmer Santiesteban is exceptional and precise when it comes to targeting your health problems.
I just had a back injury working out at the gym and I didn't know where to go. A friend of mine recommended me to Wilmer's Clinic and it was the best decision I made. In just two days I feel much better with his advice and the medication prescribed. Thank you, Wilmer! You can consider me a regular patient.
