About Windi Muraszka
Ms. Muraszka (or Windi, as she prefers to be called) has been in the field of women’s health, pregnancy, and birth for over two decades, welcoming more than 2,500 newborns as a licensed midwife in New York City since 1996. Windi attended Hunter College School of Nursing, Frontier School of Midwifery, and the State University of New York, Stony Brook, where she earned her Master’s in Nurse Midwifery, graduating with the highest honors from all three schools.
She has worked at various hospitals and women’s healthcare centers in the city over the years, including St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, Metropolitan Hospital (part of the HHC network), Mt. Sinai Medical Center, and Wyckoff Heights Medical Center. Windi also volunteered at high schools in Queens and Brooklyn, teaching Human Sexuality Classes to adolescents. Women from New York City’s rich mix of cultural, ethnic, sexual identity, and racial groups have all enjoyed superior care at Windi’s hands.
Windi is the mother of three children who are now transitioning into adulthood. She understands pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding from the inside out as only a mother can. There are as many parenting styles and beliefs as there are parents in the world, and all are worthy of respect and thoughtful consideration. Windi strives to work closely with women to help them integrate their personal needs and childbearing desires with their special gifts and abilities.
Windi believes that all women are entitled to compassionate, thoughtful care at all times in their lives. Providing wellness-oriented, high-level midwifery services means ensuring that when women and their families leave her office, they feel nurtured, educated, and incredibly well taken care of.

informative and made a (at times) vulnerable and uncomfortable exam so smooth and painless it was over before I knew it. The whole office was friendly and efficient. 5 stars!

Save yourself the trouble and find another doctor. Windi’s bedside manner was condescending and insensitive. She kept trying to leave while I was speaking and seemed annoyed at everything. She caused a lot of unnecessary pain and bleeding during my exam and ignored my needs. The only positive takeaway from this experience was that I found a wonderful doctor somewhere else and I won’t have to go back here.

Windi and all the staff at this site were great. Their computers were down (not typical for them) but they saw me anyways and kept track of things on paper. I did have to wait about 30 minutes after my appointment time, but Windi was very knowledgeable and had great recommendations for what I came in to address. I'd recommend.

Midwife Windi was an incredible health care provider. I was comfortable and informed the entire appointment, treated with care and compassion! I would recommend her a million percent! She eased all anxiety I had and I left feeling so positive.
The woman with red hair at the front desk was superb and all the women that took my vitals and info before my appointment were amazing as well! 10/10 all around
