I was charged a very steep cancellation fee 1/7/2026 upon receiving the estimated session cost within 48 hours of the follow up session date. I’m outraged that this was how this provider and the Headway platform chose to set their system up. As if to intentionally trap clients in their cancellation policy. At our initial (virtual) appointment, the provider did not give any notice regarding the cost of our follow-up (virtual) session. I received an email estimating the cost of the upcoming virtual session. This email was sent within the 48 hour cancellation period, so I was given no opportunity to cancel the appointment without penalty. I could not afford to pay the estimated cost of the follow-up session, so the cancellation fee was automatically charged on my card, and I did not receive the care that I needed. I strongly encourage you to reconsider before scheduling care through Headway with this provider.

Actually amazing, I’ve struggled a lot before trying to find appointments and or had difficulty trying to get one scheduled and it is EXTREMELY demotivating but thankfully they continued to reach out via text message which made it easier for me to respond and clearly communicated all the documents I needed to provide and it just made it so much easier for me to want to interact. Thank you very much for getting me the help I’ve been trying to get.
