About Dr. Ziyad Nasrawi
Ziyad Nasrawi, M.D., is a Bariatric and General Surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Brooklyn and assistant professor of clinical surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Nasrawi performs minimally invasive bariatric, laparoscopic, and robotic procedures, including sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, single anastomosis duodenal intestinal bypass (SADI), and revisional bariatric surgery.
Dr. Nasrawi also specializes in foregut surgery, including hiatal hernia, paraesophageal hernia, Nissen fundoplication, and achalasia. He offers a minimally invasive approach to inguinal, ventral, and incisional hernia repair, with a passion for diastasis recti repair and abdominal wall reconstruction.
Dr. Nasrawi graduated from Augusta University with a Doctor of Medicine degree. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery at New York Methodist Hospital and an advanced gastrointestinal and bariatric surgery fellowship at Jackson South Medical Center in Miami, Florida. He is board certified in general surgery, fellowship trained in bariatrics, and ready to provide comprehensive care to his bariatric, foregut, hernia, and general surgery patients.

I was told he was “running early again” because “he’s speedy” by the office staff. I suspect he’s fast because he doesn’t take time with each patient to really listen or discuss. I was in and out of the room in under 5 minutes, which is startling when you’re discussing surgery of all things. Office staff members were nice, but I prefer providers who’ve developed a bedside manner.

The staff is friendly and I was seen promptly. The doctor was friendly and knowledgeable about my reason for being there. I felt like he took the time to address my concerns and discuss options. Would def recommend him!

My experience with the ZocDoc appointment with Dr. Ziyad Nasrawi, was an "A" plus. I say this because the doctor was easy to talk with, very knowledgeable about my condition and I feel that I am now in capable hands going forward with surgery.
