Dr. Zackin is very understanding, compassionate, and great at making you feel at ease. I have a hard time revealing my emotions, and coping with them in general but I felt immediately safe and validated, and free from expectations! I have a hard time sticking with appointments in the past, no more shopping for therapists for me! I'm definitely going to stick by Dr. Zackin!

Searching for a therapist for yourself or your child can be overwhelming. As a therapist, I firmly believe that the relationship I develop with my clients and their families is possibly the most crucial instrument of change. That means, first and foremost, my office is a safe and supportive environment so you or your child feels comfortable with me. No one therapist is right for everyone, but I promise to provide a non-judgmental and empathetic space where we will collaborate on your goals.
I provide cognitive behavioral treatment, trauma-focused treatment, and mindfulness training in addition to more traditional psychodynamic techniques. For children, I incorporate play therapy and family therapy into my work. Everyone deserves to be heard and understood. My role, as I do that, is to encourage and challenge you or your child to make the changes necessary to improve your mood, productivity and overall quality of life.

I was surprised by how comfortable and open the first visit felt. I felt that I could speak openly and freely and with confidence. It felt like from the moment I entered the room I was entering a safe space. I have enjoyed the freedom and openess I experience during these sessions.
