For the longest time I was incredibly skeptical about how clinical meeting with a therapist would feel. Adam Ortiz was incredibly supportive and comforting. He is able to empathize and articulate thoughts, concepts, and feedback beautifully. He is extremely flexible and always willing. Any anxieties I had previously about speaking with a therapist quickly dissipated completely.

After years of work with another therapist and in self-help programs, Adam has helped me advance my mental and spiritual well-being like nothing/no one else. His focus on normalizing the range of human emotion - as opposed to obsessively hunting down causes and solutions, and treating my brain like an outcome factory to be controlled - supports me in living a gentle, peaceful life.
Adam brings his whole self to each session; there's a warmth and closeness (while remaining totally appropriate) that is absent traditional Western psychotherapy models. "Whole self" here means that Adam incorporates and shares elements of his own spiritual practice to reframe what I'm experiencing with respect to my history of codependency, living around addicts, and my own obsessive thinking. It's refreshing, and I leave every session feeling like a weight's been lifted.

Adam is one of the most highly skilled, empathic and helpful therapists I have ever met. He immediately puts people at ease, is incredibly easy to talk with and is truly non-judgmental. Adam's style is authentically connective and caring and the tools he helps people access and utilize within and for themselves are profoundly effective and long-lasting. I cannot recommend working with Adam highly enough.

I really enjoyed my time with Adam. Right away our sessions became something I looked forward to, and a bright spot in my week. I came away with tools to handle the things that were bothering me, and a much kinder internal voice, just to name a couple of benefits. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!
