Agnieszka Baklazec, the founder and owner of Amber Counseling, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Addictions Counselor in the state of Colorado. In her private practice, Agnieszka offers individual therapy to teens and adults who struggle with addiction, trauma, anxiety and depression.
Agnieszka provides Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy for those who would like to address their trauma history.
Agnieszka believes that some of life's events are traumatic enough and difficult enough that we lose sight of who we truly are as people. She believes therapy can help us get to that beautiful state when, even the imperfections, make up for a beautiful human being each of us is.
In her practice she is able to help you work on trauma, addiction, change of life events that include, but are not limited to, starting or dissolving a family, and operating in a family system where conflict is the primary form if interaction.
Clinical Experience
Through her work with healthcare professionals, Agnieszka worked with individuals affected by substance use, mental health conditions, vicarious trauma, and burnout. Agnieszka is very comfortable evaluating individuals for their safety to practice and making recommendations so they return to practicing the profession they love so much.
During her work in the correctional facility as well as outpatient clinic setting, Agnieszka worked with individuals, men and women who were affected by significant traumas often, multiple instances of such. She has worked on helping individuals heal and reach their full potential.
Agnieszka has also worked in school systems addressing the needs of teenagers struggling with anxiety and depression as well as substance use.
