I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a Master's degree in social work from San Diego State University. I have been working in hospital and clinic settings in Seattle since 2006. My early career focused on helping people cope with trauma, grief, loss, and adjustment to illness and injury. In recent years, I have specialized in working with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and adjustment issues. I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals adjusting to new parenthood and other life transitions.
My therapeutic approach is strengths-focused, aiming to build awareness of innate strengths and utilize them for positive change. I strive to create a warm, calm, and collaborative environment where you feel heard and supported. I draw from evidence-based treatment approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
