Alison Eskander is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Ohio who has been practicing since 2018. She earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Dayton. Before joining LifeStance Health, Alison spent six years working in hospice and palliative care, supporting terminally and chronically ill patients as they coped with their conditions and prognoses. She also provided grief counseling to their loved ones, conducting sessions with individuals, couples, and families to help settle conflicts and reach closure. Alison has taught courses at the University of Dayton as an adjunct professor, including “Perspectives on Aging” and “Death, Dying & Suicide.” Through these experiences, she has developed best practices for guiding people through various life stages and the complex emotions that accompany difficult changes. Outside of work, Alison enjoys traveling, sand volleyball, and exploring new restaurants.
