Hello, I'm Wendy. I'm currently accepting a few new clients for telehealth sessions. I believe that therapy is a collaborative journey, where we work together towards your unique goals. I work hard for my clients and ask the same of them, as I feel therapy is most effective when both parties are committed to the process. My approach is tailored to each person's strengths and abilities, utilizing evidence-based therapies to foster lasting change. I specialize in addressing anxiety, stress, trauma, intimate and romantic relationships, depression, sex and intimacy issues, and family relationships. My goal is to help you develop better communication skills, improve your relationships, reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety, and enhance your overall social success. In my practice, I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you improve your thinking and behaviors, and Strength-Based Therapy to leverage and build upon your inherent strengths. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, with certifications that include being a Level 2 Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, having Clinical Foundations in Marriage Counseling with Gottman Relationships Level 1 & 2, and Tier 1 Military Culture and Deployment training to better understand military families. Additionally, I have Clinical Foundations in CBT and Weight Management from the Beck Institute. I have a special interest in working with teens, helping them navigate peer pressure and stress while developing new coping skills. I also enjoy working with young adults and clients of all ages, starting from fourteen years and up. I have considerable experience counseling adults with a history of childhood sexual abuse, an area where I feel particularly strong in providing support and guidance. Outside of individual sessions, I have created and taught Positive Parenting Practices for groups, sharing my knowledge and strategies to foster healthy family dynamics. If you feel we might be a good fit, I encourage you to reach out so we can discuss your needs and how we can work together towards your goals. You can contact me at 937-641-1618. I look forward to the possibility of working with you.
