Does your child or teen struggle with big emotions, frequent overwhelm, or changes in behavior at home or school? Many parents feel unsure about how to help—you're not alone. I specialize in working with children and adolescents who have difficulty regulating emotions, managing stress, and communicating their needs. Family involvement is central to my approach. I partner closely with parents and caregivers to strengthen communication, improve understanding, and create supportive home environments that reinforce the progress made in therapy. When possible, I help families build stronger, healthier connections that last. I use a creative, relationship-based style that helps young people explore emotions and build confidence through talk therapy, play, art, and mindfulness. Sessions are tailored to your child’s developmental stage and strengths. My therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (IFS-informed), and somatic-based techniques to support emotional regulation and nervous system awareness. Reaching out can feel overwhelming, but I’m here to help your child and your family through this challenging time. I would be honored to walk alongside you as we work together toward healing, resilience, and long-term emotional well-being.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I enjoy working with children, teens, and young adults who have survived ongoing trauma. Especially those who tend to intellectualize their experiences and become high achievers. Those with high empathy and may be sensitive to sensory input.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When you intellectually understand what is going on, but aren’t able to embody the feeling, you present as someone well put together. You achieve and become highly independent. You have parts of you that have learned to not require much attention and it is safer to go unnoticed. As someone who is an internal processor and seemingly does everything right I understand. Professionals who have not specifically studied trauma may forget that the internal experience may be very different from the presentation . This has driven me to learn and understand people who have similar experiences of being told “you’re so insightful” or “you’re doing everything right” meanwhile feeling that everything is wrong.
