About Alyse Myers
Alyse graduated from the University of Toledo, where she received her Bachelor’s in Athletic Training and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Through her undergraduate athletic training program, Alyse worked with Division 1 athletes, local high schools and physical therapy clinics in the community exposing her to many different populations. While Alyse always planned to become a physical therapist, she fell in love with athletic training and continued after her undergraduate studies to become a Certified Athletic Trainer. Alyse’s early hands-on exposure in athletic training has helped her understand the multiple stages of treating and progressing through an injury.
Since moving to New York City, Alyse has continued to work in an outpatient/athletic setting helping people with a variety of injuries. To continue to improve her quality of care, Alyse has gone on to become a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist in physical therapy. This has helped Alyse become more knowledgeable about musculoskeletal injuries and remain up to date on current research to provide best care. As a runner herself, Alyse has always enjoyed helping runners and has been volunteering at the NYC marathon medical tents the past few years.
Alyse has been living in NYC since 2013 and really enjoys taking advantage of all the things the city has to offer. She is a fan of Broadway, exploring the less popular museums (Transit Museum is a favorite) and finding great brunch spots. Alyse still enjoys running and does her best to find the non-concrete paths. Although she loves the city, Alyse is still a big Cleveland sports fan and continues to cheer on the Cavs, Indians and Browns (yes, even the Browns).
