Amy is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Play Therapist, and Certified Systemic Art Therapist. She pursued her dream career in counseling and helping others by earning her Master of Arts in Counselor Education, Community Mental Health, in July 2014 from Adams State University. Amy encourages people to be kind to themselves and practice intentional self-care. She models this by spending time with her young adult children, chosen family, and friends, cuddling her cats, reading, and sitting in the sunshine. Amy believes in integrated and individualized treatment, valuing the uniqueness of each person. Most relevant
It felt like an abandoned office no receptionist or other practitioners. While my visit was scheduled the provider was clearly more confident with kids/teens issues and kept saying she would refer me elsewhere and often drank a lot of water between speaking and rarely said anything insightful or helpful. She would say “that's a lot or that’s hard” clearly everything I was sharing is a lot and hard I had to ask for helpful strategies or opinion to get anything from the the session.
