Hi there, I'm Chris! Reaching out for therapy can be difficult and anxiety-producing. I will do everything I can to help you in this process and support you. I enjoy helping people who are struggling a bit to better understand their feelings, needs, and goals and develop strategies to get to a more comfortable and satisfying place. My approach I use a variety of therapeutic techniques depending on the specific needs of my clients and the issues they want to address. For many people, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) can be an effective and efficient approach that focuses on how your feelings, thoughts, behaviors, and beliefs/values impact each other, often in ways that aren't intentional or conscious. By becoming more consciously aware of how these things affect you, you can begin to feel more confidence, control, and satisfaction in everyday life. My focus Do you struggle with anxiety, depression, doubt, anger, loneliness, trauma, lack of confidence, or unsatisfying relationships? Are you concerned that you have habits that get in the way of your life goals or potential life goals? These are just some of the challenges clients have brought to therapy with me. I have been successful with clients who are open and honest and who ask lots of questions, as necessary, to determine that I am a trustworthy advocate. I will walk with you, at your pace, in this process. I will listen well, reflect back what I hear, and give you ample time to clarify so you are certain I understand not only what you said but how you feel about it. I can simply listen or share my reflections if you want more than just being heard. I will honor your right to keep things the same, change things slightly, or make major changes; these are all your choices and your rights. I'm here to support and validate you. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from The Catholic University of America and Kent State University, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton.
