My name is Angelica Tyree, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Virginia. I currently work with clients via telehealth. Some of my experience includes traveling abroad, trauma, self-esteem, anxiety/depression, early intervention, relationship dynamics, and parenting.
My approach to therapy is integrative and strength-based to assist you with reaching optimal mental wellness. Moreover, therapy approaches will vary based on the needs of clients. The goal is to assist you with reaching your overall goals towards your journey of healing. Exploring ways to enhance your life at your own pace is important in achieving those goals.
Most of my experience tends to focus on children, adolescents, and teenagers who may be struggling with adjusting to life experiences. These life adjustments may come with depression, anxiety, anger, low self-esteem, grief, etc. My goal is to help clients persevere through those challenges so that they can obtain wholeness and live life to the best of their ability.
My communication style is open and calm to create a safe space for clients to share their thoughts. I want clients to feel comfortable communicating, and I find that it is beneficial to provide culturally sensitive communication.
My approach to goal setting with clients is to take a collaborative and cohesiveness approach. I want clients to feel comfortable acknowledging and setting their own goals while I provide that unconditional support.
