Annie Hutt is a professional clinical counselor (LPC) who has been practicing as a therapist in Golden for more than ten years. She earned her Master's in Counseling from Regis University, completed her internship, and became certified with the Denver Family Institute.
Annie sees adults for a variety of mental health issues including substance abuse, marriage therapy and couples counseling, depression, grief/loss, anxiety, parenting issues, Christian counseling, spiritual/religious concerns, and more.
Annie enjoys listening to clients as they search for their core issues and finding strategies to ease hardships. She believes we are all doing the best we can, and at different points on our journey, we get stuck.
She works with couples and families who are not in litigation and has a special love for marriage therapy, couples counseling, and family therapy. Annie recognizes the importance of relationships and understands that we all have a story we believe about others and ourselves. If we can see our story differently, we can often change our approach to life. With the use of cognitive behavioral therapy and other tools, this can be achieved.
At her office in Golden, Colorado, Annie also uses other therapy methods, including Solution-Focused therapy, Mindfulness, John Gottman's Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Byron Katie's unique brand of cognitive behavioral therapy.
We each have our own way of learning and handling the world around us. Annie strives to tailor therapy to the needs of each person. Navigating the world can feel tricky at times, and Annie wants to be her clients' ally in making changes and moving forward.
