Dr. Aluvathingal was born and brought up in India until her family moved to the United States in 2004. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology from University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2010, followed by pursuing her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Marymount University in 2013. Dr. Aluvathingal enjoys working with adolescent to geriatric population for orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions, improving their activity level and quality of life. She holds a special interest in using Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) techniques in her treatment plan for patients, along with prescribing progressive therapeutic exercises and promoting patient independence in a self-care regimen via patient education. She hopes to expand her knowledge in providing treatment interventions focusing on evidence-based practice with ongoing clinical experience and continuing education courses. She aspires to seek further specialized certifications in dry needling, orthopedics, and manual therapy. In her free time, Dr. Aluvathingal enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing with her daughter, traveling, hiking, biking, listening to music, and catching up on her favorite TV shows. Having a different cultural background herself, Dr. Aluvathingal appreciates and enjoys the cultural diversity around her and takes pride to be a part of the health and wellness network of the community through her profession.
