Hello. My name is Artemis J Rose and I am an imperfect human being first and therapist second. I value authenticity, creativity, communication, and connection. This is what I believe we are all seeking and deeply needing and it is my utmost care, devotion, and intention to support you towards a deeper sense of yourself both within and with your relationships around you.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and am finishing up my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I have close to 7 years of clinical experience working with a range of issues: stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, dating, relationship issues, codependency, family problems, etc. I am very client centered and eclectic from different therapy modalities. My work draws from the following modalities: solution focused, acceptance and commitment, mindful cognitive based, self-compassion, motivational, and dialectical behavioral therapy.
I believe that you are the expert of your life and I am here to guide you back home towards yourself. It is my intention to be as culturally sensitive and aware as possible and with that, in our sessions, I will desire to understand and explore your multifaceted identity and path. I love being challenged and welcome any feedback too. I do my best to show up as do you and I hope we can give space and grace for our mistakes. When not doing therapy or being in school, I love poetry, dancing, baking, writing, painting, creating, and just coming alive. Life to me is meant to be fully self-expressed. I love hiking, doing yoga, CrossFit, running, and just overall being active. My happy place is the beach though with my chihuahua pups.
