Psychologist

Hi there, I'm Beverly! I have been a Licensed Clinical Psychologist for over 15 years, working with diverse patients across various settings. I earned my PhD in Psychology and Education from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and hold a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis. My psychotherapy approach is grounded in Jungian Analytical Psychology, focusing on health and wholeness. My approach I listen carefully to the deeper self’s leadings toward individuation and the barriers in the way. My focus Many patients drawn to me struggle with anxiety, depression, relationships, grief, anger, trauma, adjustment, aging, and spirituality. I welcome an initial exploratory meeting with all new patients. My communication style I cultivate an open, non-judgmental atmosphere where authenticity and respect are welcomed. In sessions, I am unhurried, present, and focused on what comes into the room—day-to-day concerns, dreams, emotions, yearnings, frustrations, humor, stories, and more. I help patients develop greater awareness of inner and outer forces and how to work with them. My journey to mental healthcare Though I have lived in many places as an adult, I am originally from a small southern town where I grew up in a close community of caring adults. My earliest memories include cuddling my paralyzed grandfather, swinging on porches during adult visits, bringing food to a widow next door, and participating in church donations to needy families. These experiences taught me the healing value of connection. From my first Psychology course, I began the path to therapy. I continue to love this work and am a lifelong learner of psychology who never stops growing.
