About Dr. Bo Gumalo

From a young age, Bo always had an interest in health and science. He always found it fascinating to understand how physiological processes work and how the human body functions as a result. Coming from a family of healthcare professionals, he quickly realized that his future lay in medicine. Bo graduated Summa Cum Laude from William Paterson University earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then attended Long Island University to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Bo first developed an interest in physical therapy working as a physical therapy aide while in college. He became inspired by the way therapists were able to positively impact a person’s life through movement and exercise. The field of physical therapy became the perfect avenue to satisfy his interest in science, the human body, and helping others. Bo enjoys treating all types of orthopedic injuries and patient populations. He believes that open communication between the therapist and patient as well as patient education are the cornerstones of successful rehabilitation.
