“I've been seeing Brittany for nearly two years! I sought professional help during a time of massive life changes and depression. She was incredibly kind and compassionate while also bringing in research, examples of anonymous client scenarios, and her own personal scenarios that were relevant to my own. I have seen massive growth in my resilience to stress, stress management, building routines, and allowing flexibility for myself. I highly recommend Brittany!”

Getting to know Brittany Cruse

My name is Brittany. I am a LCSW and I provide therapy to adults. I specialize in working with people who struggle with depression, anxiety, ptsd/trauma, relationship issues, as well as people who are just going through a difficult season of life, among other things. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where you can be yourself and get the most out of your time. I want you to feel empowered to work towards managing your mental health, and to build the confidence to do so independently, no matter what life throws your way!

What should a new client know about working with you?

I will work with you to make sense of what you're going through, as well as build a better understanding of patterns of thinking or behaviors you have that may not be benefiting you and how to replace them with healthier habits. We will also build skills in order to better manage mental health long term, which in turn will improve all areas of life! The first step of reaching out to get started is the hardest part. We get used to our version of normal and it doesn't feel like things can get better. Take that first step, and give yourself permission to invest in yourself. It is worth the time and the impact it can have on your life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session will be the assessment where I will want to learn about what you are going through and what symptoms you are dealing with. From here we will create goals for our sessions moving forward. Sessions will consist of a combination of processing/talk therapy and working on skills to better manage mental health and life stressors.

Brittany just *gets* me. Every session feels like talking to a trusted friend who understands my personality, my patterns, and what I need to stay grounded. She creates space where I can be honest, focus on what matters, and feel gently but firmly held accountable. I always leave our conversations feeling validated, supported, and more connected to myself. I am deeply grateful for the way she shows up and guides me forward.
Dr. Cruse is professional, insightful, and empathetic. She has been an invaluable resource in my life - helping me to recognize patterns in my behavior, supporting me through challenges, and celebrating my mental health wins. She has helped me work through truly difficult topics without showing judgement, which I'm especially grateful for. I admire her quick thinking and gentle delivery in our sessions. Her observations are powerful but never overwhelming - I've learned a lot about myself through her ability to reframe and reflect back to me my beliefs. When I have had mental health emergencies, she provided a calm, safe space for me to process, full of warmth and understanding. When things are going well for me, I still find great value in our time together as we look back on my progress, plan for the future, or talk about my daily life and relationships. She has always been reliable with our appointments and proactive in scheduling. Thank you, Dr. Cruse!
