I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who offers a compassionate stance in coming alongside people in their life journeys. My goal as a counselor is to create a safe environment where you can experience understanding and transformation. Together we will create an effective personalized plan of healing and growth goals.
I have extensive experience in assisting clients as they work through problems related to relationship issues, life transitions, women’s issues, infertility, family conflict, grief, and self-esteem. I have worked in various Christian non-profit settings and have been trained to integrate psychology and faith into my practice. I can incorporate and explore spirituality in the context of our sessions if that is something you desire. However, I never impose my beliefs on my clients and am very respectful of different faith backgrounds.
I offer premarital counseling for couples who want to start their marriage on a more solid foundation. Premarital counseling sessions cover communication, conflict and repair, a family of origin, money, sex & intimacy, marital roles, and self-discovery. A tailored assessment can also be added to give couples more feedback.
As a first-generation Asian American, I understand firsthand the complex dynamics found amongst individuals with multi-cultural identities through my personal experience and working with those who may be dealing with cross-cultural issues and intergenerational differences within their families. I am passionate about helping you process those differences and bridging the gap among those identities.
