More about Christy Fisher, LCPC
Life. Is. Hard.
Taking the first step towards change can be incredibly scary; you are deciding to walk outside of your comfort zone and challenge yourself, hoping that your walk through the dark halls of uncertainty leads to the discovering the change that you want and deserve.
But if you’re open to it, therapy can change you. Therapy can help you explore your self, situations, stressors, and relationships. Therapy can help you reflect to gain important new levels of perspective and understanding of yourself and others. Therapy can help you identify and set boundaries in your life. Therapy can help you feel that you have done and said everything you need to in a relationship. Therapy can help you grieve, mourn, heal, and accept. Therapy can help you be the best version of yourself you can be.
I am here to help you as you start or continue this hard work. My goal is to create a space for each of my clients to feel comfortable and supported as they dive deeper into their everyday challenges. Because each person is different, therapy can look different for each individual. My approach with each client is based on their specific needs. As a client, you can expect a fully engaged, very active clinician ready to explore your life with you. You can expect to be heard. You can expect to be challenged. You can expect to be supported.
I see clients experiencing challenges in all areas of their lives. I work extensively with those experiencing anxiety, major life changes, issues surrounding sexuality, gender, and identity, and challenges in relationships with friends, family, and significant others.
In addition to providing support to clients, I am a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) and am committed to the Gender Affirming Letter Access Project (GALAP).
My pronouns are she/her/hers.
