Hi there, I'm Crystal! Hello, my name is Dr. Crystal Toombs, and I am a licensed professional counselor. My counseling approach seeks to empower, motivate, and encourage individuals by affirming that, regardless of the barriers they face, they can be successful. My approach Many of my clients see steady improvement in symptoms within the first 3-5 sessions and gain the tools needed for sustained wellness thereafter. My focus I have worked extensively with young adults and adults, especially teen parents, for over ten years. My communication style I am a confident and direct communicator. I listen carefully, employ engagement techniques, and pray with clients to help them unleash the tools needed for healing on their journey. My journey to mental healthcare I completed my doctoral degree at Mercer University and hold a Master of Education in School Counseling from Kent State University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Mental Health from Wilberforce University. I also earned a Diploma in Christian Leadership from Alphacrucis Bible College in Auckland, New Zealand. Every part of my educational experience has led me to this moment of serving and supporting individuals in their quest for healing. My goals for you I encourage clients to reflect on different areas of their lives, identify dissatisfying aspects, articulate desired changes, and consider the impact of achieving their goals.
