I am a Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience. I began my career in 2011 as an intern while attending Fordham University at Lincoln Center. In 2013, I earned my Master's in Social Work and started working in a clinic providing mental health counseling. In 2014, I expanded my practice to Supportive Housing, which broadened my perspective on treating patients from a holistic and person-centered approach. Currently, I work within substance use services, learning and applying Harm Reduction strategies.
Clinically, I approach therapy from a psychoanalytic psychotherapy perspective, integrating other methods as needed and as we discuss what benefits your overall well-being. I believe we are all influenced by the systems we live within, which can cause traumas both large and small. Together, we will explore how your past shapes your current decisions and how your relationships with family and friends affect you. As a harm reductionist, I understand that substances are often used as coping mechanisms. Through our work, we will identify solutions to your concerns and develop healthier coping strategies. My goal is to create a safe and trusting space where healing can take place.
