Starting therapy can be difficult and it takes strength to talk about your experiences, symptoms, and challenges. You may be feeling isolated and no one understands how you are feeling. I’m passionate about creating a supportive and caring environment for clients to help them feel safe sharing their stories without judgment. Therapy is a journey and we will work together to learn strategies to cope, manage, and adapt to symptoms and emotions. I’m here to guide and support you in achieving your goals.
My approach is to use a person-centered focus to help clients feel empowered to recognize their own self-worth and identify goals to help them create the life they want. I use various techniques such as CBT, ACT, DBT, play therapy and mindfulness interventions to help clients reach their goals. I enjoy working with adolescents and children and implement music, art, and creative activities in sessions to help children feel safe and manage their emotions.
I’m a Licensed Social Work in Illinois. I earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Iowa and a master’s degree from Aurora University. My experiences have allowed me to work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and trauma. In my spare time, I enjoy exercising, reading, watching sports and being with friends and family.
