Hi there, I'm Demetrius!
Hello. My name is Demetrius Hill. I am a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, who is Fully Licensed. I obtained my Master’s Degree in Counseling from Webster University (2013) with an emphasis in mental health counseling. I have 34 years of experience in the Mental Health field providing services to children and adults and have found the experience to be very rewarding.
My approach
I provide services to include individual, group counseling for children adolescents, and adults as well as conducting clinical assessments. My style of counseling is a combination of several different theories which include cognitive behavioral therapy, and family systems based on client needs. There are many approaches to counseling that I will focus on as well, assessing the best developmental approach to serve clients.
My focus
I have worked in adolescent and adult residential settings, substance abuse treatment facilities, provided therapeutic services in school settings, as well as community-based and enhanced services. Additionally, I have experience working with families and victims/offenders.
My communication style
There are many approaches to counseling that I will focus on as well, assessing the best developmental approach to serve clients. For example, behavioral counseling may be appropriate with younger children and some teens, while cognitive-behavioral and client-centered interventions may be appropriate for some teens and adults.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have 34 years of experience in the Mental Health field providing services to children and adults and have found the experience to be very rewarding. This is the field I choose to build a career in because of the wide spectrum of people that can benefit from assistance with overcoming issues that cause disruptions in normal life.
