Hi there, I'm Diana!
Hi! I'm Diana France a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about helping you work through challenges that have been keeping you stuck. My specialties include depression and anxiety from mild to severe. Additionally, I work with clients who have experienced trauma. Those with stressors from relationships, work, and college are a favorite of mine as well.
My approach
I use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Polyvagal Theory (Trauma), Cognitive Behavioral Treatment (CBT), Rogerian Therapy (Meeting the client where they are at), Motivational Interviewing Skills (Addiction)
My focus
I treat clients with all types of Depression and Anxiety symptoms. I have specialized expertise in treating clients who are medication-treatment resistant or who have severe, lifelong depression/anxiety. Additionally, I work with clients who have experienced some types of trauma and addictions.
My communication style
I am very active with my clients and I provide a good amount of education and skills-based techniques to assist with the challenges being presented in therapy. I work with each client individually when it comes to homework and goal setting.
My journey to mental healthcare
I became a therapist because I felt driven to help others overcome their challenges and watch the growth and smiles return to their lives.
My goals for you
Based on the information shared and history given, we discuss goals both long-term and short-term. I always clients to achieve their goals in therapy so we use SMART goals that are realistic and achievable!!!
My first session with you
The first session, I share a little about me and therapy and I ask you to share a little bit about you. It's very non-intimidating. Think about a couple of people sitting down for a cup of coffee getting to know each other.
