Hi, I'm Dolly and I am a passionate and enthusiastic licensed psychotherapist. I specialize in CBT and ACT modalities as well as trauma-centered and solution-focused therapy. My approach
I am passionate about providing a truly inclusive and intersectional environment for those looking to take control of their mental health. I pride myself on my transformative, skill-based, and direct approach to care. My clients report that I am a fun, active, solution-focused, and dedicated therapist.
My focus
We only accept clients who are ready for change, therefore, the clients I work with are largely interactive in session. Most of my clients fall under the sexual health and wellness umbrella in some way or are struggling with anxiety-related disorders or are adult women on the Autism spectrum. My clients make real change and report feeling better within 5-10 sessions. Do not book with me unless you are ready for change or you require a softer approach.
My communication style
I like to operate in a very transparent manner. Our sessions will be conversational in nature but I will always hold you responsible for your growth and progress. I am also an active communicator outside of sessions and encourage my clients to reach out when they get stuck or struggle with their skills so they can get the necessary help in the moment.
My journey to therapy
After experiencing discrimination and a lack of accessibility searching for a multi-disciplinary team to diagnose my own Autism, I realized there was a tremendous gap in truly supportive, inclusive, and intersectional mental health services in the State of Florida. Energized by this realization, and motivated to bridge this gap, Dolly connected with other strong clinicians in the area to launch SHARE of Florida in 2019.
