My belief, as a therapist, is that people flourish when they develop deep trust in themselves and live in a manner that is true to their hopes and dreams. Thus, I am committed to helping my clients progress further on their paths to exploring what it is that they seek in enriching their lives.
I employ therapeutic models and interventions based on my client’s concerns and goals. While I assist people of all ages, I have mostly specialized in treating children and adolescents. In every case, there has been a focus on self-exploration, as well as fostering the ability to kindly look at oneself to decide where behavior changes might be necessary.
When working with adults and teens, I mostly integrate Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to support them through their self-exploration and identification of thinking/behavior patterns that might be hindering them from reaching their desired goals.
With children, I engage them in Child-Centered Play Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral therapy for these same purposes, while Behavioral Modification Therapy strategies are introduced to parents as possible tools for the home.
