Natalie Vrana, LCSW

Psychotherapist
PA
Hi there, I'm Natalie! My name is Natalie Vrana, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. I take a strengths-based approach and incorporate trauma-informed interventions in my practice. I have been working with children and teenagers for 8 years as a behavior specialist and therapist, with over 15 years of experience in other areas of work. My approach I focus on using a strengths-based and client-led approach to therapy. With experience working with traumatic experiences, I use trauma-informed interventions and psychoeducation. I incorporate parts of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in my practice, including reframing, coping skills, mindfulness, and assertiveness training. My focus I typically work with children, adolescents, and teenagers. I frequently support clients dealing with anxiety, trauma, impulsivity, ODD, and ADHD. I also have experience working with cyber school students and gifted students. My communication style I create a calm but playful environment for my sessions. During telehealth sessions, I use a relaxing forest background. I offer mindfulness interventions while also using humor and playfulness so everyone feels comfortable during sessions. My goals for you I work with clients in the first session to set goals. I take a client-led but collaborative approach to goal setting. My first session with you In the first session, I will ask about your reasons for seeking therapy, goals, therapeutic history, and what has or has not worked in therapy in the past. I follow the lead of the client and focus on rapport building.
