When we meet, it is in the forefront of my mind that making initial contact and coming to an appointment with a therapist can be daunting. In our work together, you are the experts on your experience. I use genuine curiosity and empathy to gain a true understanding of what is going on. Together, we can discuss how my experience and training can assist you. Therapy is not "one size fits all," and I encourage clients to be open in sessions about what is working (and perhaps more importantly, what is not!). I recently received my certification as a Reproductive Mental Health Practitioner and can now complete evaluations for surrogacy.
I have experience working with clients of all ages with anxiety (including specific phobias) and mood disorders, and with children with behavioral problems. I most often draw from cognitive-behavioral (including Trauma-Focused CBT) and humanistic approaches. I also offer comprehensive assessments for ADHD, learning disorders, and psychological concerns.
I am accepting new patients now! I have worked in mental health centers, schools, residential programs, juvenile detention centers, and college counseling centers, and am currently in independent private practice. I am also able to provide in-home therapy as needed. I am also licensed under PSYPACT, and able to provide services virtually in PSYPACT states.
