Hey there! I’m Heather Lopez — Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Therapist, Postpartum Support Specialist, and mom who's probably reheating her coffee for the third time as we speak.
Becoming a mom changed everything: my sleep schedule, my wardrobe, my tolerance for loud plastic toys — and most importantly, my perspective on what real support looks like during the postpartum period. Spoiler alert: it’s not just "nap when the baby naps" or unsolicited advice from your neighbor's cousin.
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Dominican University, completed clinical internships at Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital and VITAS Healthcare, and hold a Bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University. These experiences have shaped my approach to care and deepened my commitment to supporting moms through life’s transitions.
I help moms who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or like they've somehow lost themselves in the diaper aisle at Target (emotionally, not literally — though I’ve been there too). Whether you're dealing with postpartum anxiety or depression, adjusting to your new identity, or just need someone to remind you that you're not failing — you're just in the middle of a major life transition — I’ve got you!
