About Jason Klein

Jason Klein completed his undergraduate schooling at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania and went on to earn his Master of Science degree in physical therapy from Long Island University, as well as a Master’s degree in Applied Physiology from Columbia University. Jason became interested in the physical therapy profession after completing observation hours his senior year of college with EXCEL co-founders, Gary Flink and Matt Gibble. He realized he could merge his passion for health with his interest in fitness and athletics and pursued PT as his career path. Since completing his education, Jason has worked extensively in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation as an exercise physiologist and physical therapist, registering 25 years of experience in the field. After building a reputation as one of New York City’s most trusted clinicians, Jason crossed the Hudson to provide care to the Bergen County population. Jason competed in football, basketball and baseball in his youth. He has completed the New York City Marathon, the Marine Corps Marathon as well as a number of other half-marathons and off-road triathlons. During his time racing, Jason raised thousands of dollars for national non-profit charities including Team Continuum and Team Red, White and Blue. As a life long amateur athlete and avid runner himself, he enjoys treating athletes of all levels to achieve their optimal recovery, performance and function. When he’s not with his patients, Jason enjoys spending time outdoors. His love for nature and hiking has motivated him to backpack throughout the world. He is a yoga enthusiastic, having practiced for over 10 years. Jason also continues his involvement in youth sports, coaching basketball and baseball.
