What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients often describe my style as warm, validating, and honest. I create a space where you can be real about what you are feeling without pressure to have everything figured out or say things the right way. I approach therapy holistically. We look at your routine and how your physical and mental health work together, because burnout, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm often show up when life feels unbalanced. We also explore family dynamics and where you come from, since early experiences often shape how you cope, relate to others, and see yourself today. My goal is to help you get to the root of what is going on rather than placing quick fixes on top of deeper patterns. Therapy is not about temporary relief. It is about building self awareness, emotional regulation, and a life that actually supports your well being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In the first few sessions, we get clear on what brought you to therapy and what you want to focus on. We set direction, find your pace, and create structure so sessions feel intentional and productive. I approach therapy the way I always wished it was as a client. I prepare ahead of time and do work outside of sessions so each meeting builds on the last and feels thoughtful, not repetitive. I also offer HIPAA compliant messaging between sessions for brief venting, grounding, or accountability. I know how hard it can be when something comes up midweek and you have to hold it in until your next session, so I wanted to offer the kind of support I once needed myself. You can meet as often as you need. Some clients prefer weekly sessions, while others choose to meet more frequently during high stress or major transitions. If it ever feels helpful to include a partner or family member in a session, that option is available as well. My goal is to provide consistent, real support and be the therapist I believe many people are looking for.
