Hi there,
I am Jen. Do you want to improve the quality of your life? Do you want to make long-lasting changes that enhance areas such as work and relationships? I empower clients to overcome daily challenges related to depression (and other mood disorders), anxiety, PTSD/Trauma, and grief. I work with clients ages 10 and up to help them regain balance, security, and happiness in their overall quality of life.
I hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Gardner-Webb University, and I believe in a holistic approach that focuses on the mind-body-spirit connection. I utilize various techniques including mindfulness, identifying and addressing irrational thoughts, motivational interviewing, and more. Together, we identify treatment goals at the first appointment whenever possible. I also assign therapeutic "homework" to help clients practice and acquire the skills they need to feel better about themselves and their lives.
No matter the issue, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy is a brave step, and I provide a safe space to support your healing and growth. In our sessions, you can expect empathy, active listening, and humor to help you overcome what is troubling you. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
