Jenna is absolutely amazing. She really helps you dig deep into your thoughts to solve the root of the issue. Her relaxed manner and thoughtful replies makes you feel very comfortable to express your feelings/emotions. Also, her office is very cozy and warm making you feel at home. I highly suggest anyone going through something personal or just wanting to talk go to Jenna right away!
You won't be disappointed.

My clients are very important to me. It is a privilege to accompany people on a journey of self-reflection, vulnerability, and growth. I meet you where you are, say the hard thing (with kindness, humor, empathy, and creativity), and work to understand your complexities and the unique ways you wish to grow. I love working with a wide variety of people, but particularly specialize in the treatment of disordered eating, body image anxieties, sexuality, chronic pain, attachment issues, and addictive/ compulsive behaviors.
I love the power of group therapy and run several groups, including a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) group on Monday evenings in Ravenswood. Please email me if you are interested in joining a group (at jenna.white@depthcounseling.org).
Clinical interests include self-harm, divorce, infidelity, trauma, racism, grief, mood disorders, and working with the LGBTQIA community, those in nontraditional sexual and relationship lifestyles, those reentering society after an incarceration, and other marginalized populations.
I am a PhD candidate at the Institute for Clinical Social Work and participating in on-going training in modern-analytic group therapy at the Center for Group Studies in NYC. I also have advanced training in theater, creative writing, music, mindfulness and yoga, all of which informs my work.

I was very impressed with Jenna's professionalism. She spent a good deal of time setting up my background info. Once she had some idea of who I was and what I wanted to explore, I was amazed at all the things that came up that I was not expecting, but certainly was pertinent to our discussions. She really helped me a lot and I am very grateful for it. I would highly recommend her, and I have done so.

My visits with Jenna have helped me heal and grow in ways I never believed were possible for me. She makes me feel safe and understood no matter what, and her insight and knowledge is beyond! She is truly a special therapist.

I saw Jenna for about 14 months. I started out unable to cope with everyday life, and she helped me find the tools within myself to turn life around. She worked with my schedule and made it convenient for me to make therapy part of my life. As a member of the LGBTQ community and polyamorous person, I was glad to find someone who understood these communities and listened without judgement. I highly recommend her!

I've been seeing Jenna for over a year, so aside from the new space, I had a similar experience to those I've had before. The new space is comfortable and safe feeling, even with the open ceiling connecting to the rest of the facility.
Seeing Jenna individually and in group setting has been hugely beneficial in my life. She listens without judgement, gives honest and direct feedback, and is simultaneously friendly and relaxing while also very professional. I don't feel I'm necessarily expressing myself all to eloquently, but the gist is that I could not recommend her high enough.

Jenna has allowed me to tell my story at my own pace, never invalidating my personal truths (as well as the beliefs I cling to that may not actually be true) and always encouraging me with new insights. I can trust that she fully hears me, as that trust has built slowly over time through continual direct experience. She gently guides me to see reality as it is while providing an entirely safe space for me to play out the mental stream that has caused me a lifetime of suffering with her reflecting back what I say without judgment or bias. I believe her compassion and understanding spring from having done the work herself first as well as extensively studying the human mind and heart. She meets me where I am, and I'm very grateful to her.
