Jessamy is undeniably the best thing that has happened to me in a long time. I’ve tried therapy repeatedly in the past, with numerous providers, and nothing seemed to work. Jessamy has changed that; she has restored my faith in therapy and proven that it truly can make a difference. The healing and growth I’ve experienced in my life as a result of our work together are immeasurable. I am grateful to have connected with her. Her knowledge and empathy set her apart, and the profound connection she establishes with her patients is transformative. I am finally relieved to have found a provider I can trust completely and relate to on a meaningful level.
Jessamy was very compassionate and understanding from the start, right way picking up on my difficulties with executive functioning and providing me with tangible ways to not only set my mind but tasks to work on to build a strong foundation. Highly recommend!

More about Jessamy Rahman-Klapper, LCSW

*This provider does not accept any Medicaid or Medicare plans* I aim to create a warm, empathetic space that welcomes humor and creativity. I believe accessing our full selves is easiest when we can be playful, embracing both the dark and light aspects of our lives. Once we've established a trusting relationship where you feel comfortable, I utilize a combination of techniques including mindfulness, creative activities, reflective conversations, and evidence-based modalities to understand and address your current challenges and coping mechanisms. Together, we'll develop a path forward and identify new coping strategies that serve you. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Rutgers School of Social Work, which has equipped me with a strong foundation to support clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and identity or self-worth issues. Personally, I am a homebody and crafter, enjoying activities like knitting, painting, and papier-m'ch'. I also love adventurous travel, though as a new mom, I'm focusing on shorter trips these days! I've seen therapy unlock new possibilities for people who felt stuck or debilitated by their circumstances or mindset. Good therapy, tailored to you, can be transformative. If you're unsure, I would be honored to help you explore in a free consultation whether therapy is a fit for you as a first step. As endorsed by Shania Forbes on Psychology Today: "Jessamy provides a warm, grounding space where you can feel supported while building confidence in yourself and your life. She goes beyond just talk therapy-blending mindfulness, creativity, and practical life skills to help you feel more capable and at ease. With her calming presence and flexible approach, she'll guide you toward self-compassion and radical acceptance in a way that feels both structured and deeply comforting." Said one of Jessamy's patients: "My therapist is knowledgeable, supportive, friendly, positive and encouraging and I have had a good experience so far."
