I am passionate about working with young adults, young married couples, and those preparing for marriage. Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I take a person-centered approach to help my clients create better lives for themselves.
I've had the pleasure of working with many male clients, one of whom was initially hesitant about therapy. However, after three months, he found the process rewarding because I allowed him the freedom to share at his own pace. By the end of our sessions, he had achieved his therapeutic goals and expressed his appreciation for our time together.
As a first-generation Mexican American and bi-racial individual, I bring a unique perspective to the therapy room, balancing multiple cultures and finding my place within each. My life experiences enhance my ability to be fully present with my clients. I'm not distracted by taking notes or watching the clock. I'm comfortable with silence, tears, and quiet moments as my clients process their thoughts and feelings.
In my personal time, I enjoy crocheting, adult coloring books, decorating my home for each season, and traveling-especially by cruise ship or weekend getaways to the Hill Country. I'm a recent graduate of Liberty University, where I earned my Master's in Mental Health Counseling. I am also under the supervision of Jenee Shannon Dusza as a requirement of my 3,000 post-graduate supervised hours. My life experiences and unique perspective guide the therapeutic relationship. I'm not afraid to sit "in the mud" with my clients or tackle hard conversations. My laid-back demeanor and upbeat personality create a space where clients can bring their full selves and let down their walls.

Jessica is warm and approachable. She is very intuitive and is great at asking the right questions. I have been going through a ton of upheaval this past year and talking with Jessica has been so grounding. I really cannot say enough good things abut her!
