My name is Jose Maldonado and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am a bilingual Therapist who provides services in English and Spanish. I help with a variety of symptoms including depression, anxiety, family and partner issues, life transitions and acculturation issues.
My approach
In therapy I promote an environment of acceptance, support, authenticity and understanding. I treat my clients with dignity and respect. My role as your therapist will be to help you overcome challenges, define goals, and move forward. I primarily work using a Cognitive Behavioral approach as well as using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy interventions.
My focus
My experience includes working with crisis interventions, working with people who have chronic mental health conditions and generally people seeking support.
My communication style
Making the decision to seek therapy can be difficult. Going to a professional may be a new and uncomfortable experience or you may be short on time. Aware of these realities, I offer a cordial, transparent service and adapt to the needs of the client
