Dr. Zoe Gillispie, PhD

Psychologist
611 Veterans Blvd, Ste 203, Redwood City, CA
I have worked in the Bay Area of California as a therapist in inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as school-based, medical, and community agencies since 2002. I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University and completed an internship in Psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. I also hold a Bachelor's degree from Scripps College. I worked as a psychologist for Kaiser Permanente on a multidisciplinary pain management team treating individuals with chronic pain syndrome and in Kaiser's Psychiatry Department, where I treated kids, teens, adults, and families. I have always been interested in the intersection of medicine and psychiatry. Through my experiences working on a Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit, serving as a psychologist for individuals with chronic pain syndromes, and helping those with inflammatory brain disorders, I have developed a deep appreciation for how medical, rheumatological, and neuroimmune conditions can affect mental health. In my private practice, I work with individuals, couples, and families addressing a variety of concerns. I use a compassionate, collaborative, and active approach to therapy. I specialize in CBT and DBT and run several DBT groups for teens, adults, and individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
