Background
My name is Justin Ryan. I’m a licensed professional counselor and have been in practice for the past seven years. After receiving my Master’s of Arts degree in Counseling from Colorado Christian University, I then went on to receive post-graduate training in marriage and family therapy at the Denver Family Institute.
Philosophy
In my office, I believe in creating a safe and nurturing environment to promote healing and self-discovery, where relationships can begin to grow and develop a deeper meaning and connection. Where families can begin to heal and where trauma can start to be processed. My philosophy is that healing is possible, change can happen, and we all can find inner peace. I believe in strengthening attachments, changing dysfunctional patterns, and building resiliency and self-awareness. I have received clinical and educational training in EMDR therapy and incorporated self-soothing skills in my practice. My greatest privilege is working with individuals who think nobody cares about them, couples in crisis, and families who feel judged and unsupported.
Parenting
By far, the single most important and satisfying part of my life is being the dad to my two boys. I love my sons unconditionally, but I also know firsthand how hard and emotional parenting can be.
