Hello, I'm Katie. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who is based in the beautiful Florida Panhandle. Congratulations on your decision to start making positive changes in your life through the assistance of counseling. It's a brave decision and I know how deeply personal finding the "best fit" counselor to assist you on this journey is to each person. With that in mind, I'd love to share a little about myself. I am a Mom to two children and a golden retriever puppy. My happy place is the white sands and emerald waters of our beautiful Gulf Coast beaches. I enjoy looking for seashells, spending time with my family, concerts, learning about new places through travel, and volunteering within my community and church. I am a "well-seasoned" military spouse supporting, counseling, and providing resources to military children, spouses, and families. Before my current professional role, I provided mental health and substance abuse counseling to youth at a residential Wilderness Camp and also provided mental health counseling in the public school system to underserved children and families living in a rural community.
I specialize in working with high-functioning adults, teenagers, children and families experiencing life challenges and life transitions such as (but not limited to): divorce, marriage, parenting, moving, military family life challenges, caregivers, health/medical challenges, educational/college/career, self esteem-social media, women's issues, depression, anxiety, grief/bereavement, trauma, child behavioral issues, peer relations, social skills, resiliency skills, etc.
