Kelsey’s identity as a Black woman informs her practice and areas of focus. Though trained in Art Therapy and Counseling, she does not use traditional art-therapy interventions like art-making or analyzing artwork. Instead, she promotes creativity as an internal resource for self-expression, reflection, problem solving, abstract thinking, and interpersonal connection. Kelsey earned her Master’s in Art Therapy and Counseling from Drexel University and a Bachelor’s from Eastern Illinois University. Her specialties include identity exploration, development, intersectionality, life transitions, minority stress, depression, and anxiety.
