Damron Counseling, LLC was founded in October 2021 by Kristi Damron, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Qualified Supervisor. Trained at Florida State University, she graduated suma cum laude and completed internships at a residential substance abuse facility for juveniles and on a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) at the Miami Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Kristi has worked with juveniles and their families in the criminal justice system as a Juvenile Probation Officer, as a Master Adjudicator assisting individuals applying for Social Security Disability, and served as a Social Service Director helping aging adults in long-term care. Her last role was as a Baker Act Coordinator for individuals in crisis on a Behavioral Health Unit.
She's earned a Bachelor's of Arts in Vocational Rehabilitation and a Master's of Social Work Degree from Florida State University and has been practicing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Big Bend area since October 2018.
