Letizia no longer practices DBT & does not see patients who have ADHD. Although we aren’t a fit the experience was awesome. She is very kind and helpful.

She's incredible. She made me feel extremely welcome, and I feel like I can really open up and hopefully grow a lot in the coming weeks. She's supportive, judgement free and is there to help! Thank god I found her :)

More about Letizia Adorno, LCSW

Please note that at this moment, I am unable to provide evening hours. I only have availability during the workday. Because of my background, I am sensitive to immigration/aculturation issues and their impact on generations within a family. I provide treatment in English and Spanish but see a diversity of people from varied ethnic, racial and religious backgrounds. I graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and took science courses given my interest in how mind, body and emotions work together. I eventually completed my graduate Social Work degree at the Columbia University School of Social Work in 1998. My interest in a broad approach to helping others achieve the optimal level of health led me to incorporate approaches that address the emotional, behavioral and physical aspects of treatment. My approach is drawn from traditional talk therapy, DBT, EMDR, mind-body approaches and Mindfulness. At the moment, I am unable to offer evening hours.

Very sweet woman. Immediately felt extremely comfortable and safe. Look forward to seeing her next week.

I enjoy her straight forward style and understanding nature. I enjoyed my visit and felt comfortable.
I think my visit was helphfull. I am learning how to use my coping skills, more often than I am.
She was very nice and kind. Good listener - if you are looking for a kind doctor she is it.
She is amazing:) Been going to her for over a year and feel so much more in control.

First visit, hard to say. Ms. Adorno is very pleasant.

We had a long, in-depth intake but - as I have had in the past - one hour wasn't enough to go though my past experiences, so she wanted to schedule another appointment for the next day, pending her availability. I got a voicemail a few days later stating I "Missed my appointment" and that she would have to charge me for it! It was never "scheduled" and she never confirmed that with me. I was too depressed to do anything about it, as well. Shame.

She is warm and understanding. If you need someone who is both kind and firm I would recommend her. I’m excited about the work ahead and finally having someone to guide my process.

Had a wonderful first session with Letizia. She had an a very warm, open and non-judgmental demeanor which made it very easy to broach subjects I have otherwise found difficult to talk about. Her office is extremely comfortable and easy to get to. I'm looking forward to continuing treatment with her and her style and personality like a good fit!

She was very kind and soft spoken. not judgmental at all. Only my first session and I already feel comfortable with her :) She was even nice enough to schedule a double-follow up appointment so I get two sessions back to back, which is great for when I want to vent more.

Dr. Adorno was immediately personable on my first visit. I felt completely relaxed and comfortable opening up and discussing the reason for my visit. She took the time to listen with care and offered gentle guidance through potential sources for the things I brought up. Very much looking forward to subsequent visits.
I think Letizia is very compassionate and really treats me with the utmost respect and honesty. I feel very comfortable with her, and her bedside manner is fantastic.

Letizia seems genuine, caring and helpful. With one statement, you feel infinitely better. Her strength seems to be putting things in perspective in a refreshing healing way. Plus she gets the diversity factor, coping with first generation issues.
She was wonderful in my first visit. I think I've found my therapist! Very attentive and humble, not proud like so many psychologist/psychiatrists can be - I felt instantly comfortable talking to her. Excellent.
She is wonderful and really insightful

She's a nice woman who seems very compassionate. I felt that she tried to offer answers very rapidly, in our first session, and was just not quite the right fit for me. She was nice and helpful in terms of insurance and other such logistics and I think for someone else she might be great.
I love coming to sessions w/Letizia - I never miss a session. She is very validating, listens to my concerns, & accomodating. I like that she pushes me to dig deeper & confront what I need to. She is not scared to go there w/me & she trusts that I can do it, so it is very encouraging. I also enjoy that she is bilingual Spanish - it helps when I speak "Spanglish" or there is a word I can't remember in English. She has a very soothing & relaxing manner. She is very hope-instilling.
