I work with mothers who are in the work force, and who are struggling with anxiety, depression, or PTSD. Symptoms can include overthinking, uncontrolled anger, disconnected, intrusive/scary thoughts, perfectionism, low self-esteem, no motivation, fear, lack of focus and poor time management skills. You may keep thinking that you “should” adjust your habits and get motivated, but you tend to self-sabotage and have difficulties being consistent. Always comparing yourself to people on social media, friends, other parents or coworkers who seem to have it all-together. You often struggle in relationships because you are afraid to say how you really feel. You are there for others and shouldering their pain. Or you are likely the problem fixer for everyone else but yourself, causing stress and burnout.
No judgment here. I am a real person who can relate to the challenges of anxiety and depression. I've discovered what works for me, and I can guide you to identify what will work for you. I offer a virtual space for clients to freely express themselves. If we end up working together, I won’t tell you what to do. I will guide you to discover what you want, don't want, and need. You will have a chance to discover your strengths, values, goals, and purpose. Increased motivation, improved mood, renewed hope, and authentic connections is what I assist clients to achieve. Hopefully a little laughter will be sprinkled in at times. If you think that asking for help makes a person weak, the opposite will likely happen. Vulnerability makes a person stronger than ever.
Starting therapy is a courageous step, but it can be scary knowing where to start. I will guide you in discovering where to begin. Life can be a struggle, but you are not meant to walk this path alone. You deserve to be provided with compassionate, warm, and empathetic care so you can feel safe and supported.
