Marie Kilvington is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience. She serves clients from ages 13 to 100, as well as younger children when part of a family counseling setting. Marie specializes in working with clients on a variety of issues, including coping with grief and loss, unexpected life changes, and life transitions. She also treats clients with depression, anxiety, ADHD, family conflict, mood disorders, and more.
Marie sees that a key element of counseling is to start where the client is-you lead the way. She uses an empathetic, nonjudgmental, and collaborative approach. Focus is placed on rapport, trust, and comfort. Marie listens to the client's needs and works with them to adapt various therapy modalities to find the best fit. Working together, side by side, Marie supports clients in their goals, however big or small.
Marie completed both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work at the University of Central Florida, earning a Bachelor's and a Master's in Social Work. Her experience includes working with individuals, groups, and families. Marie utilizes a variety of therapeutic modalities, including client-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.
